Valkers come from the galaxy of Astoroz. Reptilian Valkers have grey-green scales, strong legs with high ankle joints, and deadly three clawed toes per foot. They are also known for using their tails as weapons.
Valkers have small, blue eyes overlooking a broad, flat nose on a head larger than a Human’s. Grooves track down their scalp. Reptilian Valkers do not have lips, just a wide, upward shaped mouth on a strong chin. Below that, they have a strong muscular neck made of soft scaled skin pulled taut whenever they look sideways.
In a fight
The reptilian Valkers are formidable in a battle. Most have been trained since they were very young, and young Valkers are Craggoo quick; agile in every respect.
“Suddenly to Yesmane’s left, a Valker sprang forth weapon clutched tight – her first reptilian foe of the battle. His jump was as good as any. With powerful legs, Valkers could leap twice their height into the air and cover a great distance. Clad in grey armour, he landed at her feet, intent on killing her.”

From Book 1, readers learn that reptilian Valkers adhere to several social norms; chief among them is the belief that one’s legacy is not only built by great feats in battle but also by the way one conducts themselves in all pursuits. A Valker should be strong, just, and always in peak physical condition. A dim view is taken to any Valker who is drunk, under the effect of hallucinogens, or generally not adhering to the strict cultural ideologies of physical self-discipline.
”A Valker of the Gstaddt is reserved, disciplined and always at the ready. A great Valker is always balanced, focused and never overwhelmed by emotion.” – Grey Leader
