Quorum Treaty book
“The Quorum Treaty® book will be released in late 2018.” – author Glen Rothlisberger
The universe of D’Olex is at war. Citizens are starving, disease is spreading and corruption is reaching unspeakable heights. The once powerful Alliance of Planets that governs much of the universe is now fractured by in-fighting. Disunity has paved the way for a warrior-race known as the Valkers to begin conquering star systems almost unopposed. Their rule comes with seductive social welfare benefits like free food for the poor and access to advanced medicine. A third faction, a sectarian group known as the Messulun Priests, has taken advantage of the discontent amongst the citizens. They say they fight for the forgotten voices of D’Olex and their popularity is on the rise. A battle for the hearts and minds has begun. Thrust late into the chaos, is Earth. The Valkers come to Earth seeking something from humanity. There we meet Alzarrae, a child living in poverty, and Zach Salt, a military man. Both humans come to learn the lore of energy and light when they ascend their Earth into the new worlds of D’Olex.
OKAY…if you want a cooler synopsis:
“The Quorum Treaty® book is an epic space opera full of massive battles between the forces of light and darkness, inter-planetary politics, and a quest to understand the lore of energy and light.”
Plot and Characters
The intergalactic war against the reptilians (Valkers) reaches the star system of Pretenia, sending shock waves through the Alliance of Planets. This is where we meet main character Yesmane Galina, the Crown of Libb, who takes it upon herself to petition the Interstellar Quorum to mount an offensive. Meanwhile and far away on Earth, we find the Valkers attacking the homes of Zach Salt and Alzarrae. They live in different cities but both ascend their Earthly world into the universe of D’Olex.
Author Glen Rothlisberger Q&A
How long does it take to write a novel?
It has taken over a year to pen all the chapters. It is now close to what I am calling the “raw draft”. From here I will aim to polish a dirty rock into a diamond. It may take many months before a final manuscript is ready.
How long will the Quorum Treaty book be?
It will end up being around 190K words; fairly standard for a science fiction book. Nothing is set in stone yet. Polishing the raw draft might mean cutting out some content to tighten the story. Less is more they say.
